The Bible makes clear that God is concerned about everything in our lives, beginning with our spiritual condition. But He also is concerned for our physical needs and health. He urges us to seek Him directly for any needs we might have. However, there also are times when He wants us to work through other Christians, and specifically through those called to leadership and anointed for service.
Do you want God’s mercy? Then seek to be merciful and compassionate. This even means loving your enemies (Luke 6:35). Make this your attitude, if you want to receive God’s blessings.
In our time, how easily we find ourselves consumed by our own maze of issues. Yet God calls each of us to escape these preoccupations. To realize that Jesus really did come into this world, and was born of a virgin. That the Gospel is true! That He really is with us and has a plan for our future! That His promises are true!
Today, no matter what you have done, realize how much God really loves you. Jesus died that you might be forgiven. No matter how serious your sins might be, confess them all to Him. He is ready to pour out His “Spirit of grace and of supplication” on you.
With God, nothing is impossible! He’s the God of both the supernatural and the practical. If we want to be successful in life, we need to seek Him. We must read His Word and apply His principles.
